Photograph of the sign unveiling ceremony for the Guy A. Bailey Science Building, Geneseo, N.Y. A group of people dressed nicely applaud as an elderly woman pulls the cord that parts the curtains revealing the sign. During 1950-1951 the four residence halls (Bailey, Fraser, Blake, and Sturges) accommodated 204 women students and the College Center, with dining room, snack bar, lounge, post office and browsing and game rooms were occupied. Blake is named for George (Guy) A. Bailey, an international authority on birds. Was affectionatly known to the students as "Bugs" Bailey. Mr. Bailey graduated from the Cortland Normal in the classical course in the year 1898.
