Verso: "Tearing down old heating plant (near south end of Sturges) to clear site for Fraser, (L) Holcomb Campus school - later Welles - and (R) Geneseo High school - later Doty - in the background" The exterior heating plant building was added in 1919. The present oil-fueled heating plant began operation in 1953.
