Description

Opening in 1967 with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and both large and small lecture rooms, Newton is named in honor of George D. Newton, a local attorney who served as Geneseo Justice of the Peace, Livingston County District Attorney, State Supreme Court Justice (beginning in 1962 and apparently until 1965), and member and president of the Board of Visitors and College Council beginning in 1942.
