Submission Guidelines for Iris Magazine
Who Can Submit
A representative of the current editorial board of Iris Magazine should provide the issue information and files as soon as possible following publication. For any questions or concerns, please contact knightscholar@geneseo.edu.
How to Submit an Issue
1. Make sure your issue is saved as an Adobe Acrobat (PDF).
OPTION 1:
If the issue is in PDF format, you can upload it via the submission form. If you have questions, please contact knightscholar@geneseo.edu.
OPTION 2:
We can convert files from some programs into an acceptable format. Please contact knightscholar@geneseo.edu for assistance.
2. Use the submission form (also linked in the left sidebar as "Submit Research") to provide information about the issue and upload the issue file.
- When prompted, sign up for a Knightscholar account and confirm the account via the verification email sent from noreply@bepress.com.
- Return to thesubmission form.
- Read and accept the Submission Agreement (included below)
- Provide information about yourself, any co-creators, and the issue of the journal.
- Upload the electronic file, if any, and associated files
- A Knightscholar representative will contact you if any further information is needed and when the issue has been added to the collection.
The submission form will prompt you to provide the following items/information:
- The issue title and number
- The table of contents
- A list of genres and keywords (10 maximum)
- The masthead for the issue
- The PDF format of your file.
- The cover of your file in image format (.jpg, .png, or .gif).
- Any additional files such as a letter from the editor, if not included in the main issue file.
Additional fields may be listed that are not relevant to your publication, which you can disregard (e.g. dimensions, original format, etc.). Complete all relevant areas of the form as thoroughly as possible.
Submission Agreement for KnightScholar
By checking the box below, I grant SUNY Geneseo the non-exclusive right to distribute Iris Magazine ("the Work") over the Internet and make it part of KnightScholar.
I warrant as follows:
- that I have the full power and authority to make this agreement;
- that the Work does not infringe any copyright, nor violate any proprietary rights, nor contain any libelous matter, nor invade the privacy of any person or third party;
