Description

Photograph of Mary Jemison Dining Hall at SUNY Geneseo, interior. View of main dining area from west corner. Pictured are many diners and a view of the stairs leading up to the lobby. Opened 1960, it is named in honor of Mary Jemison (1742-1833) a Scots-Irish colonial woman who was adopted into a Seneca family as a young girl. She later became known as "White Woman of the Genesee."
