Myth and Science, 2023-24
The inaugural year of Ideas That Matter took place in 2023-24, and the theme was Myth and Science, inspired by the multiple eclipses visible from the area during the academic year.
Myth and science as an Idea That Matters invites participation and investigation beyond the phenomenon of a solar eclipse, as well, into topics such as conspiracy theories, mythology, bioethics, and science communication.
This year-long program included events, educational opportunities and resources for the entire Geneseo community. The collection here highlights curriculum developed by Geneseo faculty exploring a variety of aspects of myth and science.
