Director, Center for Integrative Learning: Melanie A. Medeiros
Geneseo Student Ambassador Awards provide up to $5,000 (including a $3,000 Student Ambassador Summer Fellowship) to support student-designed projects that research or address a local or global social, economic, environmental (etc.) problem. Student-driven, ambassador projects combine independent learning, innovative approaches to problem solving and community-based action. Projects can take place on campus, in the region, or even internationally: wherever the student(s) want to make an impact that matters to others.
Brief Program HistoryDonor funded, the Geneseo Student Ambassador Award program began in 2012 under the stewardship of the Center for Inquiry, Discovery and Development, and is now administered by the Center for Integrative Learning. Since its inception, over 100 students have completed ambassadorships. Ambassador projects have ranged from on-campus initiatives to create student clubs and/or improve the sustainability of our campus, projects in the local community, including educational programs in local schools, as well as international research projects.
